Pet Policy

Pets are welcome in the hotel with a one-time cleaning fee of $50 CAD* per stay—up to a max of $100.00 for two pets. *Rate exclusive of tax. Pets allowed are dogs and cats only. Service dogs are always welcome at no charge.

There are selected pet friendly rooms available to book—please call the resort at 1-902-285-2880 to request them.

Pets must be supervised at all times and be on a leash in public places. Pets are not permitted in hotel restaurants or aquatic facilities; dogs are allowed on our outdoor patios. Pets are not to be left unattended in guest rooms, any pets causing a disruption may result in further action such as asking guests to leave or contacting animal control.

For the safety of your pets and the local wildlife, dogs are required to be on-leash in the National Park and within the property.

Pet-sitting services are not available at this time. Guests are responsible for any possible damages caused by their pets including odors, stains & excessive hair and may result in additional cleaning charges. Any pet related damage will be charged a fee up to CAD $250.

ACCESSIBILITY

Most areas of the hotel are accessible to those using wheelchairs. We would recommend that these be reserved in advance of your arrival. There are limited wheelchair accessible guest rooms with roll in showers.

PARKING

Free parking on property – park pass is required due to the facility being inside a National Park. Please check on the Cape Breton Highlands National park website for updated info.

EV charging Station not available on property – The closest one is located behind the Ingonish information Centre.

SMOKING

Smoking rooms are not available. A fee of up to $250 CAD will be assessed for smoking in a non-smoking room. Please ask the Front Desk for locations of designated outdoor smoking areas.

DAMAGE FEE

A fee of up to $250 CAD will be assessed in case of room or property damage (subject to change based on the seriousness of the damage). You’ll be held responsible for damaged property, stains, and even smells. If any guest in your party causes damage, you will be notified of the additional charges to your credit card.

QUIET HOURS

Quiet hours at the resort begin at 11pm each evening and conclude at 7am each morning. 

Noise complaints during these hours will be promptly addressed and written warnings will be provided. Continued complaints may result in additional charges to your account.

PRE AUTHORIZATION & PAYMENTS

Upon check-in, the hotel will charge your credit card for the full amount of your room reservation and will also place a pre-authorization hold of CAD $250 for any incidental charges.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You can cancel or make changes to your reservations up to 3 days prior to the arrival date without any penalty. If you cancel within the 3 days prior, you will be charged a one night fee, based on the rate booked. If you need further assistance, call the hotel directly at 1-902-285-2880.

CRIBS & COTS

Cribs and cots are available on a complimentary basis—subject to availability at the time of check-in. Cots are only available in Corson House building.

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping stayover service is available up until 3pm. Please leave the “make the room” sign on the door.  Housekeeping staff will not clean your room should your pet be unaccompanied in the room.

CHECK-IN & OUT

Check-in time is 4pm. Early check-in will try to be accommodated but it is not guaranteed. Check out time is by 11am.

Free late check-out until 12pm can be requested but not guaranteed. Late checkout (after 12pm) fee: $100.00 CAD. 

If a guest leaves earlier than the original booking dates, there is an early checkout-fee of $100.00 CAD.

GENERAL POLICIES

 Children ages 17 & under stay free if room is shared with an adult.

Minimum age to register is 19.

Unfortunately we do not offer commissions to travel agencies. 

There is no on-site laundry service for guests.
