Update on the closure of the Main Lodge Building at Keltic

A note to our valuable supporters and visitors:

We’re sure that everyone saw the joint media release from GolfNorth and Parks Canada this week, regarding the closure of the Main Lodge building and some cottages. Let us begin by saying that this is great news for the future of Keltic Lodge! We can't wait to see what the future holds; and are thrilled to begin the collective process of reimagining what the Middle Head Peninsula could be for years to come. As they say, this will be short term pain, for long term gain.

In the meantime, we want everyone to know that the Cape Breton Highlands Links golf course will be fully open, as will the Spa with indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The Ceilidh Hall is still hosting weddings and events. The Arduaine Restaurant and Stanley’s Sunset Grill will both have expanded menus for the foodies, and there will be nightly entertainment featuring the best that Cape Breton has to offer. Best of all, the vast majority of our accommodations will remain fully open, which means that whether you stay in the Corson House, the Stanley Thompson House, or the Courtyard Suites—you will be staying in a room which has been fully renovated within the past few years.

The Middle Head Trail is currently undergoing a face-lift, both beaches are looking great, and our friends around the corner at Cape Smokey will have the gondola running all season. There are more reasons than ever to drive the Cabot Trail this summer, lots to stop and see in Ingonish, and we look forward to hosting you here.
